I’m a farmer at heart!
Brought up in the idyllic Yorkshire Moors in one of the UK’s largest national parks, I spent most of my youth being very close to nature, on a family farm smallholding milking cows, looking after beef cattle, and working with crops.
Working so closely on the land gave me first-hand knowledge of how we were affecting simple ecosystems by over-farming and how the use of chemicals and drugs were embedded in food production. I became demoralized with the industry and moved to London to seek my fortune (it was the 80’s bear with me!).
